Projects

PRO Ministries is currently in the planning stages of two important projects.  We are asking for prayers from everyone for direction, inspiration, guidance, and funding for two important projects we are currently planning.

The first project is called Project PRO Deliverance and we are hoping to help our homeless community get integrated back into society through community service projects.  Everyone has a story, a reason, or a testimony as to where they are in life, and the homeless community are no different.  We realize that each individual is important to God and deserves a chance to rebuild their lives, if they choose to do so.  The first step in this is to begin a relationship with our heavenly Father, or for some who are saved already, to rebuild this relationship.  This step is crucial for the success of the individual seeking to better themselves.   Once a person is claiming Christ as their own personal, savior they are going to need a hand up and PRO Ministries has a goal of helping those who want to better their lives and circumstance by finding work for someone who desires to become a productive member of society.  This is, of course, easier said than done.  The apostle Paul recorded for us in God’s Holy Word a scripture that is of upmost importance to anyone and everyone that is standing at the bottom of what is seemingly an insurmountable mountain.

Philippians 4:13 

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

If an individual is sincere in their relationship with Jesus and sincerely wants to better themselves, PRO Ministries wants to be there to help.

By pairing the person who wants to overcome their current situation with someone in the community that has a need, PRO Ministries hopes to accomplish a double blessing.  Matching someone with a need with someone who is desiring to better themselves.  To do this we want to provide a member of the community with the service they need at no charge, and we want to pay the person who is doing the work a fair wage.  This is where the double blessing comes in.  A member of the community who truly has a need will be blessed and so will the person doing the work.  Praise God!

So please pray that Project PRO Deliverance will take off and become a wonderful work!

The second project is called Project PRO Recovery Room and we are hoping to build a room where men can gather to help and encourage each other in the Lord to overcome whatever they may be challenged with in life.  We envision a safe space where men can open up and share with each other not only what they are seeking to overcome, but can encourage and advise their fellow overcomers with their own invaluable experiences.  The goal of this program is for men to get together and not only overcome their battles, but to strengthen their walk with Christ by giving back to the community.  This room is where we will plan how to serve the community by volunteering our time to those who have a need.  We hope to accomplish a double blessing here.  First by overcoming our strongholds, and second by serving the community where there is a need.

This room will be the starting place for the ultimate goal of PRO Ministries, which is to lead people to Christ by actually demonstrating love with their actions, not just words.  PRO Ministries wants to grow into a ministry similar to that of Reformers Unanimous and Celebrate Recovery but with the added element of community service.  We imagine this room to be like a launch pad for a rocket ship.  Combining proven programs like Alcoholics Anonymous with Christian programs like RU and CR and community service we hope to create something great that is built to last.

To accomplish this goal, we are asking for people to volunteer their time with their specific skillsets.  Construction planners are requested at this time to help draw a set of plans to be submitted to the county planning board for approval.  Also, a cost estimator is needed so we know how to prepare a budget.

1 Peter 4:10-11

10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 

Please pray that God will bountifully bless these projects and that the works will remain for future generations.
